About Brunei Darussalam
Brunei Darussalam’s name means Brunei, the Abode of Peace. This small Islamic country, with a population of 418,000, is situated on the north-east of Borneo Island. The capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan, is located in the Brunei-Muara district, the smallest among the four districts. The official language is Malay, with English and Chinese as the other spoken languages. Brunei Darussalam is the third largest oil producer in South East Asia, sof which its economy depends on. Brunei Darussalam is a member of The Asia–Pacific Economic Cooperation, The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, The Non-Aligned Movement, The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, The United Nations and World Trade Organization.

Transportation
a) Arrival
All participants travelling by plane will arrive at the Brunei International Airport (BIA). The airport has only one terminal and there is only one exit.

b) Airport Transfer to hotel
Please arrange for your airport transfer from the airport to your hotel before arriving in Brunei. Alternatively, catch a taxi at the airport or call the following numbers to arrange for a taxi service: +673 2222214 or +673 2226853.

c) Free shuttle bus service to conference venue
