27 March 2019 – An industrial lecture series talk organised by Civil Engineering Programme Area, Faculty of Engineering was held at the Lecture Theatre 2, Library Complex of the University.
The lecture on “Architects, Professional Engineers and Quantity Surveyors (APEQS) 2011- The Order and the Rules: A Must Know for All Concern” was attended by lecturers, staff and students of the University. APEQS 2011 is an Order established to govern and regulate the practices of APEQS in Brunei Darussalam. The guest speaker was Yang Mulia Surveyor Mohammad Shafie bin Haji Mohammad Yusof, appointed member of the Board of APEQS, also known as ‘BAPEQS’, and Chairman of Act and Regulation in BAPEQS.
The roles of BAPEQS (Clause 6, APEQSO, 2011) were to provide for registration and to regulate the qualification and practicing of Architects, Professional Engineers and Quantity Surveyors and to regulate supply of Architectural, Professional Engineering and Quantity Surveying Services in Brunei Darussalam.
