Introduction

As there are fewer certainties about job market, our university shares the employability responsibility with stakeholders and our partnered industries. Our programmes are designed for graduates to be better prepared for the workplace globally, acquire skills for work readiness and emphasise on flexibility of graduates.

Each year we welcome increasing number of students including international students to study programmes offered by the Faculty of Engineering (FEng), UTB School of Business (UTB SB) and School of Computing and Informatics (SCI). Regardless of disciplines, UTB students benefit from the non-programme specific module such as technoprenuership that provide them business oriented thinking and behaviour, and engineering module for technical skills and professional knowledge.

This year, a new school has been established – School of Applied Sciences and Mathematics (SASM). This school offers BSc in Applied Mathematics and Economics, and BSc in Food Science and Technology. Similar to other programmes, graduates of this school will have the opportunity to progress to a promising career.
