7 November 2019 – UTB received a courtesy visit from Her Excellency Homeira Rigi Zirouki, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Brunei Darussalam. The courtesy call was held at the Amber Room of the University.
Her Excellency was accompanied by the Deputy Ambassador of Iran, Yang Mulia Mrs Afsaneh Ebrahimi. The delegates met with Yang Mulia Awang Haji Ady Syarmin bin Hj Md Taib, Acting Vice-Chancellor of UTB; Yang Mulia Dr. Dayang Hajah Noor Maya binti Hj Md Salleh, Assistant Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of UTB; and Yang Mulia Dayang Hajah Siti Asmahlati Bolkini binti Haji A. Ahmad, Director of International and Public Relations Office.
During the visit, both sides discussed the possibility of further cooperation between Iran and UTB particularly in the field of education, research and culture.
